VCenter Update Manager problem

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I am hoping I can get some assitance.

I am running into the issue citend in this KB article:

and want to apply the referenced patch.

On our VCenter machine, I open the VSphere client (4.1) and go to Plug-ins>Manage plug-ins.

The VMWare vCenter Update Manager appears as Disabled, and in the errors column it states "Plug-in is unavailable for the following server(s):" and it lists the Windows machine we use to manage our ESX hosts and VM Infrastructure as illustrated in the attached image.

I do not understand why I am unable to enable the plug-in and use it to patch our ESX hosts.

Any help is appreciated.
