I am not sure if this option is available in your Bios, but worth trying out. Go in to the bios, by f12 or del key while booting. Look for USB options, see if you have any option to change it from 3.0 to 2.0.
Ideally, 3.0 devices should support 2.0 devices as well, only if they are set to do so.
