I change the RAID controller and will see what will happen.
But no i don`t have any havy machines there i have around 35 Windows XP there on 4 WD Green 2TB in RAID 10 and the access time to the disks is around 1-2 read 0-1 write and the traffic is around 500-800k thats it. Thanks for you support ill write if have any issues after the change
That's still a lot of VM's for just 4 disk spindles, SATA ones at that.
Sometimes I have seen things like a scheduled Symantec A/V update kick off on all VM's cause the datastore to lock up for a few minutes. Anything the VM's might have in common might be causing momentary contention for disk I/O. Look at your Windows event logs and see if you see anything happening right before your datastore issues. Windows will log device reset events when the VM datastore drops off, usually. Look immediately before those events and see if you see any application events occuring in the few minutes before the datastore issues.
Also look at the /var/log/vmkwarning.log file on your ESXi host and see if you see any other clues around the time of the datastore issues.
