To save you a lot of time from configuration of the sql and ADAM files, I could suggest you an easier method [which is entirely upto you to choose]
1. In the physical server, install Windows of your choice
2. Install Workstation 8, [9 if you wish]
3. From the ESX where the VC is residing, export the VM as ovf
4. From the WS VM, import the VM from Import>Virtual appliance>Select the exported ovf
5. Power it on and test it out.
